Isabella Heights
Two rare parcels with sweeping views of the Isabella Mountains.
Walkable in the town of Twisp, WA, the “Heart of the Methow Valley."
Dream Big
Isabella Heights is the opportunity to combine big-valley views with in-town walkability.
If you’re moving to the Methow full time, or creating a seasonal getaway, Twisp offers convenience and small town charm with proximity to everything making the Methow the destination it is.
Isabella Heights gives you both the feeling of being “out there” but still able to walk home from a show at the Merc Playhouse on a cool spring evening.
Custom Build
The Methow is home to a number of custom home builders with the skill, attention to detail, and relationships with area subcontractors to create your vision.
Many work with nationally recognized architects who have experience with the Methow’s hot summers and cold winters - the very things attracting adventurous spirits.
Ask your realtor or speak with us for recommendations.
Availability
Consider this a soft launch. Isabella Heights is on the market, but we aren’t listing until spring 2025.
Lot lines are being finalized, easements established, and construction cleanup was finished just before the first real snow.

Parcel No. 1
Perched above Twisp River Road, Parcel No. 1 has a wide panorama: west up Twisp River to the Sawtooths; north along the Methow River to the Isabella mountains and Pasayten Wilderness; east to Mill Hill, a parcel newly acquired by the Methow Conservancy as a 144 acre park adjacent to Twisp.
Just below, with trail access from your future home, are the Salmon Rearing Ponds. Recently transferred to town ownership from the Methow Salmon Recovery Foundation, it is part of a growing network of in-town public parks. The gently rushing Twisp River is audible in the evenings and early morning.
With a two-story building plan, there is ample opportunity for a comfortable home maximizing the view shed. Below, at the junction of Lookout Road and May Street, is room to build a completely separate shop or garage with an apartment above for visiting family or a long or short term rental.
Primary access to Parcel No. 1 is by an engineered, newly-built private driveway off Isabella Lane. Part of the project included installation of water, power, and fiber conduit to Isabella Lane. Sewer is on-site and connected to town infrastructure.
Because Isabella Heights is in-town, there is no need to dig a well, install a septic system, or run power down a long driveway. And, if you need a part for your drip irrigation, feed for your chickens, or locally grown organic produce, it’s a short walk on public trail to the Community Center for the Saturday Market, the Twisp Feed Store, or any other downtown amenities.
Parcel No. 2
With a more neighborhood feel, Parcel No. 2 includes the engineered driveway providing access to it and Parcel No. 1.
An easterly exposure yields early morning light and warmth, especially in the winter months. Infrastructure includes a town-connected sewer. Conduit for water, power, and fiber are installed to Isabella Lane.
During driveway construction, geologic evidence suggests Parcel No. 2 was once the confluence of the Twisp and Methow rivers, much like Twisp Park is today. A great summer swim hole only half a mile away, today’s confluence is a popular community gathering spot.
The build site provides for a two-story home partially set into the hillside. Capitalize on the views with bedrooms at ground level and family space above, leveraging floor to ceiling windows for a seamless transition from interior to exterior space. For privacy, add up-down blinds from Harmony House Interiors, who moved from Winthrop for Twisp’s amenities.
Add a garage or a small workshop with an ADU above. Raised garden beds will do well on the south-facing bench across the driveway, or terraced into the hillside.
Location, Location, Location
Isabella Heights is a short platted parcel on the west side of Twisp. Locals will call it May Street, Painter’s Addition, or “where the elementary school used to be.”
Town lots, especially with a view, are a rare find. This is what we worked to create. Big-valley views with in-town convenience and an opportunity to participate in the Methow community.
We’ve expanded the buildable space and added utilities infrastructure to decrease homeowner construction costs, so it’s easier for you to dream big.
Locals will say: you come for the views and stay for the community. It’s a combination making the Methow a special to live.
